Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 1 head White Cabbage
  • 1 medium White Onion
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 200ml Mayonnaise
  • Salt & Fresh Milled Black Pepper

Method

  • Remove outer leaves of white cabbage
  • Quarter cabbage and remove stalk, place on side and fine shred into thin strips, place in a bowl and sprinkle with salt and sugar, leave for 1 hour
  • After 1 hour, you will see liquid that has been drawn out from cabbage, drain off
  • Peel and finely shred white onionPeel and finely grate carrot
  • Mix all ingredients together
  • Season

Chef's Cooking Tip

  • For a lighter coleslaw mix with crème fraiche and serve immediately
  • Try adding a small pinch of curry powder to your coleslaw
