Findus acquired Norway Seafood’s sales company Frionor, growing the market share in the Nordic regions significantly

Pancake production began at Longbenton making it the largest pancake factory in the world

A small confectionary company called Marabou acquired a factory in Sweden owning the brand Findus. The brand name was derived from the industry within which Marabou operated Fruit Industries
